Itinerary Highlights

Brazil is largely unparalleled in her beauty and diversity. Few places offer the breadth of experiences found in one of the world’s largest countries and while two weeks certainly won’t allow you to discover all of Brazil, we can tell you after many years of trying this itinerary offers the most comprehensive exploration of a truly unforgettable destination.

Begin your journey in the “soul” of Brazil, Salvador da Bahia. Brazil’s first colonial capital is one of South America’s most vibrant places, offering an incredible look into the Afro-Brazilian traditions that have defined Brazil both throughout history and in modern times. Your local guide will provide you with an authentic taste of this remarkable city with a mix of immersive activities beyond the tourist traps. Your hotel, the newly opened Fasano Salvador, is the epitome of style and historical character.

You’ll then head north to Manaus, heart of the Amazon and entry point into your jungle experience at Anavilhanas, a luxury eco-lodge steeped in nature and renowned for its commitment to sustainability.

Next fly south to Iguassu Falls where you will visit both the Argentinean and Brazilian sides of the waterfalls and spend each night at the iconic Belmond das Cataratas, located inside the National Park with breathtaking views of Iguassu’s natural wonder.

Arrive to Rio de Janeiro, Cidade Maravilhosa or the “Marvelous City”, and quickly discover why this sultry beachside metropolis played a defining role in Brazilian culture. Take in the ocean views from your balcony at the Fairmont, ideally positioned between Rio’s two most iconic neighborhoods: Ipanema and Copacabana.

End your Brazilian adventure on the nearby beaches of Buzios, the ultimate getaway spot where you can island hop by day and roam the inviting cobblestone streets at night as you drink caipirinhas and listen to bossa nova played by live musicians. Stroll back in the evening to Vila da Santa, an intimate and charming pousada, or small hotel, where you’ll instantly feel at home.
