Your adventure begins in Rio de Janeiro, also known as the "Cidade Maravilhosa" (the Marvelous City), where you will enjoy private guided tours to Christ the Redeemer, Sugar Loaf and the best beaches.

Taste a wide variety of local food during a walking tour, providing you with a delicious and authentic look at many different aspects of Rio's culinary culture. Next, head to the Amazon Rainforest to explore the creeks, rivers and lakes of this incredible ecosystem. Your days in the jungle will consist of treks, canoeing, piranha fishing, nocturnal nature tours and swimming with pink dolphins. All of this while staying at a premier eco-lodge, boasting rustic huts located deep in the jungle and above the water amongst the treetops.

Day 1: Arrival to Rio de Janeiro - Sugarloaf Mountain

Upon arrival you will be met at the airport by your guide and will head to the hotel to drop off your bags. In the afternoon, you will tour Sugar Loaf Mountain for a visit to one of Rio’s most famous sites, known for its iconic cable cars and spectacular views. This evening is yours to enjoy a night out on the town, a nice dinner in one of the city’s top restaurants, or simply sip a traditional caipirinhas at the rooftop pool of your hotel.

Overnight at Windsor California (no meals included)

Day 2: Rio de Janeiro - Christ the Redeemer

Following breakfast at your hotel, meet your local guide who will depart with you toward Corcovado Hill and the Christ Redeemer statue. Following a scenic drive along Rio´s beautiful lagoon and beaches, you will arrive at the foot of Corcovado for a lovely train ride to the top of the mountain. Once there, experience the breathtaking panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro that can only truly be appreciated from this historic site.

Enjoy your afternoon of leisure with a stroll down the ¨Calçadao¨ on Ipanema Beach, a trip to Rio´s world known shops or a night on the town with some traditional caipirinhas. In the evening, get ready to explore the nightlife scene in the neighborhood of Lapa. Once the sun goes down, this normally quiet neighborhood turns into a bustling and vibrant area full of restaurants, nightclubs and bars. The streets fill with cariocas and tourists alike, who flock to this Rio nightlife Mecca with one thing in mind……fun!! From traditional northeastern forró to Rio’s own samba and reggae from Bahia, visitors will enjoy the best that the Rio music scene has to offer. We will take you right to the heart of the action where our expert guide will accompany you to one of the best clubs in Lapa, Rio Scenarium. It’s an unusual bar where the décor resembles a mix between an antique shop and an auction room and locals come to listen to traditional Brazilian jazz and samba.

Day 3: Rio de Janeiro - Food Tour

The best way to get to know a city is by strolling along the streets, eating the food and rubbing shoulders with the locals. You will find the true spirit of Rio in the bustling street markets and little restaurants that only the locals know.  Brazilian food is distinctive, exciting and, most importantly, delicious! But with so many dishes and ingredients unique to Brazil it can be baffling for the newcomer and it’s all too easy to order something disappointing.  With your foody host, you will explore the bustling street markets and little bars and restaurants that have been favorites with the locals for generations. You will taste the best of Brazilian cuisine – delicious street food, tasty bar snacks, amazing fruits and juices, weird Amazonian dishes, Brazilian beers and cocktails and plenty more. The tour isn't just about eating – as you walk around, your host will point out street art and other places of interest, he will tell you about the history of Rio, chat about life in the city today and give you insider tips on the best things to do in Rio.  Note: Transportation is not included for this tour. If you would like to include a transfer, please consult with your travel designer.  Drinking age in Brazil is 18 years old.

Our representative will be waiting for you at the Manaus airport to ember on your journey to the heart of the Amazon. The trip takes three hours via speedboat, van and speed boat again. During your trip you might encounter some pink dolphins on the way and you will stop to see the amazing Meeting of the Waters, the spot where the muddy waters of the Solimões River and the black waters of the Negro River run side by side, without mixing, to form the great Amazonas River.

Enjoy your first contact with the jungle and observe the giant water lily. The afternoon activity is a canoe tour around 3pm through the igarapés (Amazonian creeks) and the igapós (flooded forest) in canoes. Along the way you may even see some river dolphins.
