Rio de Janeiro
We will leave Copacabana by Metro to visit downtown Rio, the old heart of the city - where a large number of the city’s national landmarks, museums, parks, shops and restaurants are located. This area is also the main business district of the city. Then, we’ll cross the Guanabara Bay on "balsas", the ferries used every day by thousands of cariocas. The trip lasts just twenty minutes and provides an unrivaled opportunity to enjoy some of Rio's greatest views from afar, including the bridge between Rio and Niteroi, the downtown skyline, and Santos Dumont Airport. On the other side of your journey lies Niteroi, Rio's neighboring city filled with many sights. Here your guide will show you the best this incredibly interesting city has to offer. Back to Rio, the tour will continue by Metro towards Maracanã for a brief walk around (outside) one of the most famous stadiums in the world and finally return to Copacabana.
Rio de Janeiro
Depart from the hotel after breakfast to visit the most famous landmarks of the city and see the natural beauty of Rio de Janeiro from up above. Over a million tourists each year visit the world famous ‘Pão de Açúcar’, (Sugar Loaf Mountain), which has become an iconic symbol of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Rising up from a small peninsula at the entrance of Guanabara Bay, its name is said to refer to its resemblance to the traditional shape of a concentrated, refined sugar loaf. The journey to the top is made in glass cable-cars. The first cable-car takes passengers to the top of Urca Hill, which rises 215 meters above sea level and offers spectacular views of the entire bay and its surrounding islands. From Urca Hill, passengers continue in a second cable-car to the top of Sugar Loaf which rises 395 meters above sea level and offers a 360 degree view of the entire city including Botafogo and Copacabana Beaches, Corcovado Mountain and downtown Rio de Janeiro. Afterwards, descend the mountain and stop for a delicious lunch. From there passengers will be taken to the bottom of the Corcovado Hill. Embark on a comfortable train that ascends the mountain, where the statue of Christ the Redeemer is located 2,300 ft above sea level. The Christ statue, known as the “wonder of Rio”, was recently elected one of the 7 "New Wonders of the World". Upon arrival at the top, guests can use the panoramic elevators or escalators to arrive at the foot of the statute. There, passengers can enjoy a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro and discover why it is called the "Marvelous City". Duration: approximately 8 hours

Camamu Bay is a route specially created to show the beauty of the region to the north of Itacaré. It is a unique and unforgettable experience along the Camamú Bay and Marau Peninsula. Leaving the Txai Resort on the way to the port of the city, embark on a speed boat that will take you to the Bay, where you will visit: Pedra Furada (whose name is based on an eroded rock), Coroa Vermelha (a sand bank that appears in the middle of the bay, where we can stop to enjoy the splendid view), Ponta da Ilha Grande ( ideal for diving ), Goió Island (with its white sand) and Sapinho Island (where a community of fisherman live by the calm and rich waters of the bay). We also have the chance to visit Barra Grande, main village in the Marau Peninsula, which offers good choices for a mouthwatering lunch with the typical seasonings of the culinary from Bahia. After lunch, we move on to the Veneza waterfall, which marks the meeting of the fresh water of the Baiano river and the salty water of the bay, and it is the only waterfall accessible by boat. After a refreshing bath, we go back to the continent where a car is awaiting.
Spending a relaxing day at the resort is the perfect conclusion to this wonderful escape.
As all good things come to an end, today you will depart to the airport where you will begin your journey back home.
