DAY 01 | WELCOME TO BUENOS AIRES!
Welcome to the bustling capital city of Argentina! Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by your driver and transferred to your hotel for check-in. You will then depart with your guide for a city tour visiting the must-sees of Buenos Aires: Plaza de Mayo, the Government House, the Cabildo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, Mayo Avenue, the Congress Palace, the Colón Theatre, La Boca neighborhood, Palermo, the Planetarium and La Recoleta. Once you´ve returned to the hotel, enjoy the rest of your day at leisure or book an evening tango show where you´ll be wined and dined while enjoying a breathaking performance.
Overnight at Home Boutique Hotel (no meals included)
DAY 02 | BUENOS AIRES
Enjoy breakfast before departing from the hotel to make the 90km trip (less than one hour) to spend the day in the country at Estancia Santa Susana. The estancia, owned by the Rossiter family since 1860, extends to 1200 hectares dedicated principally to agriculture, cattle raising and horse breeding. Some years ago, the estancia began to receive visitors, adapting its buildings accordingly. It consists of a main house and a series of barns that function as dining room, pub and grill. The tour begins in the pub where the visitor can enjoy meat empenadas and wine. Later, pass the dining room to taste authentic barbecue (roast beef, chicken, salads, dessert and coffee.) Following lunch a spectacle of dance and musical folklore is presented, a tango demonstration, and afterwards an exhibition of roping and a rings games where gauchos display their horsemanship abilities. For those who want to participate more actively, the estancia has horse and carriages for freely enjoying the countryside. Toward the end of the afternoon, a light meal of mate and sweet casseroles is served. After the meal, begin the return home toward the city of Buenos Aires to arrive at the hotel.
Overnight at Home Boutique Hotel (B, L)
DAY 03 | BUENOS AIRES
Today is your day to either relax or indulge further into the delights of Argentinean cuisine. Opt for a cooking class or a tour of authentic (not touristy!) "parrillas" where you will get a taste of the best local steak you can find. Or, if you´re already feeling full, take a boat tour to explore the Parana River.
Overnight at Home Boutique Hotel (B)
DAY 04 | BUENOS AIRES - MENDOZA
After breakfast and hotel check out you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Mendoza. Depart immediately towards the Maipu area, one of the wine regions in Mendoza. Visit the Familia Zuccardi Winery and enjoy a fascinating guided tour of the vineyards followed by lunch at Pan y Oliva, the winery’s newest restaurant! Learn about the process of olive harvest and production. This evening, dine at the famed 1884 Restaurant by Francis Mallman, located in the Escorihuela Winery.
Overnight at Entre Cielos (B, L, D)
DAY 05 | MENDOZA
Today you will truly discover and share the culinary delights of the region. Visit the internationally known Norton Winery and its wine bar for a guided tour, enjoying an exclusive and interactive tasting which follows the wine in its development from the fermentation tank to the bottle. After the guided tour, you will begin your cooking lessons, learning to craft traditional Argentinean dishes with the help of typical features such as a clay oven and charcoal grill. Following your lesson, lunch will be served in the garden and of course paired with wines of Norton Winery.
Overnight at Entre Cielos (B, L)
DAY 06 | MENDOZA
Day at leisure. If you are a wine lover consider an optional tour of local vineyards for some "vino" and lunch. Or get to know the lovely city of Mendoza better with a half day guided tour.
Overnight at Entre Cielos (B)
DAY 07 | DEPARTURE
Enjoy your final morning in Mendoza before checking out of your hotel and flying back to Buenos Aires for your flight home.
